Abaya

An abaya is a loose-fitting, full-length outer garment traditionally worn by Muslim women. It is designed to provide modesty while offering comfort and elegance. Abayas typically come in a variety of styles, fabrics, and colours, making them versatile for everyday wear, special occasions, or prayer. The abaya symbolises modesty and simplicity while allowing the wearer to express their unique sense of style through the different designs available.

All abayas are designed to be loose-fitting by default, with sizes determined by length. For example, a size 54 corresponds to a length of 54 inches. We recommend selecting your size based on your height—for instance, if you are 5'4", we suggest choosing a size 54. If you plan to wear heels, we recommend opting for one size longer than your height. In this case, instead of size 54, size 56 would be more suitable.

We have a size guide available for both adults and young girls to help you determine what your abaya size is. 

Our abayas are designed to last, but proper care during washing and drying is essential to maintain their quality. Here’s how to care for them:

  • Plain Abayas (No Embellishments):

- Machine washable on a low spin and low temperature setting.

  • Embellished or Detailed Abayas (e.g., with embroidery or frayed edges):

- Handwash gently in lukewarm water.
- Avoid harsh wringing to remove water.

  • Drying:

- Line dry for the best results.
- Do not use a tumble dryer, as it can damage the fabric.

  • Ironing:

- Turn your abaya inside out and use a low heat setting to avoid burning or damaging the material.

Absolutely! At Anaqa Inspired, our abayas are perfect for any occasion and season. For warmer months, we offer breathable fabrics like chiffon and lightweight crepe in soft pastel shades and prints. In colder seasons, we provide heavier materials like wool blends or jacquard in rich, earthy tones and deeper hues.

Ordering

  • Browse our website and add the items you like to your basket.
  • Once you're happy with your selection, go to your basket and click 'Checkout.'
  • Enter your email address.

  • Choose either:
    -'Ship' to have your order delivered.
    -'Pick Up in Store' to collect your order in person.

  • If you choose shipping:

- Enter your delivery address.
- Standard shipping is applied by default; select a different shipping option if needed.

  • Apply any promotional codes in the 'Discount Code or Gift Card' section on the right-hand side.
  • Review all your details to ensure they are correct.
  • When you're ready, click 'Pay' to complete the process!

We sincerely apologise if you've received a notification letting you know that an item you ordered is out of stock.

Our stock levels can change rapidly due to high demand across our website. This means that, on rare occasions, an item in your basket might no longer be available when your order is processed.

For standard delivery orders, we sometimes only discover that an item is unavailable during the packing stage, which can happen a day or two after your order is placed.

We understand how disappointing this can be. Rest assured, we aim to restock regularly! Thank you for your understanding!

You will automatically be refunded for any cancelled items back to the original payment method.

While confirmation emails are usually sent within a few hours, they may be delayed during busy periods. If you don’t receive one immediately, there’s no need to worry!

If you still haven’t received your confirmation email after a few hours, here’s what to check:

Email Address: The email address you entered might have a typo.

Spam/Junk Folder: Sometimes confirmation emails end up in these folders. To prevent this, add our email address (hello@anaqainspired.com) to your contact list.

The discount code section can be found on the right hand side during checkout. Manually enter the discount or gift card code on the ‘discount code or gift card box and click apply. 

Trouble shooting tips for discount codes not working;

Check the Validity

  • Ensure the promo code is still active. Expiry and start dates are usually displayed on your voucher or email.

Enter the Code Correctly

  • Double-check for accuracy. Codes are case-sensitive and may include hyphens (-). Avoid extra spaces at the beginning or end.

Single use codes

  • Some code can only be used once. If you’ve already redeemed the code, it won’t work again.

You have the option to receive your refund as store credit instead of to your original payment method, with an added bonus of £5 to use toward your next purchase. Simply enter the store credit note number (sent to you via email) into the "Discount Code or Gift Card" box on the right-hand
side during checkout, then click "Apply."

You will receive a confirmation email notifying you that your order is ready for collection.

Please wait for this email before making a trip to the store to avoid any unnecessary journeys.

The collection date provided with your order is the earliest estimated time your order will be ready for collection.

Simply bring your order number, found in your confirmation or collection email, along with a valid form of ID.

If you don’t collect your order within 7 days, it will be returned to our warehouse. Once it arrives, we’ll process a refund to your original payment method.

Delivery

Your order confirmation email will include a tracking link. In rare cases, there may be delays beyond the courier's control (e.g., due to weather conditions). If this happens, please allow a couple of extra days for your order to begin moving again.

Returns

To initiate a return, please complete our returns form . Make sure to include details of the item(s) you wish to return. A member of our team will respond with further instructions.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please ensure the following:

  • Items must be returned in their original, unused condition with all tags attached.
  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • Certain items, such as customised or sale items, may not be eligible for return.

To start a return, please complete our returns form. with your order number and item details. Please refer to our refund policy for full terms and conditions.

Missed the Returns Window?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept items returned beyond the specified time frame or items that are worn or in an unsellable condition.

Please allow up to 10 working days for your refund to be processed from the date you return your parcel. There’s no need to contact us; you’ll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been completed. Be sure to keep your proof of return until the refund has been issued.

We’re sorry to hear that one of our items is faulty or not up to our usual standards. Please email hello@anaqainspired.com with your order number and a description of the issue. To avoid delays, kindly include clear pictures of the fault. A team member will review the matter and assist you with the next steps.

Absolutely! Your right to return an item remains the same, whether you purchased it using store credit, a payment card, or a combination of both.

  • If you paid entirely with store credit, your refund will be issued back as store credit.

  • If you paid with a combination of store credit and payment card, the portion paid with store credit will be refunded as store credit, and the amount paid by card will be refunded to your original payment card.

 

Sale items may be returned for an exchange only.  Please ensure you are mindful when purchasing a sale item.

Refunds

Don’t worry if your refund hasn’t arrived yet! While we work hard to process refunds promptly, it may take a bit longer during peak times.

Please allow up to 5 working days for your refund to be processed. You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as your refund is complete.

Refunds may take up to 10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank’s processing times. If your refund is issued as store credit, it will be available immediately upon receiving your confirmation email.

 

If your Click & Collect order is not picked up within 7 days of arriving at the collection point, it will be refunded to your original payment method. Refunds are typically processed within 3-5 working days, and you’ll receive a confirmation email once
it’s completed.

You have the option to receive your refund as store credit instead of to your original payment method, with an added bonus of £5 to use toward your next purchase. Once we receive your returned items, the digital store credit will be sent to the email address associated with your order.

Store credit can be used for online purchases and is valid for 12 months.

Please note that once you select a refund to store credit, we are unable to change the refund method.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to refund the difference if an item you purchased has since been reduced. The price paid at the time of purchase reflects the correct cost at that moment.
